Are you a Family Child Care Provider looking for a way to enhance your services? 4C-For Children is a sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) within our service delivery area. 4C-For Children services six (6) counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine, and Kenosha. CACFP is funded as part of the National School Lunch Act. The United States Department of Agriculture ( USDA) provides funding to help children in school and child care receive nutritious food. In Wisconsin the Food Program is administered by the Department of Public Instruction. CACFP addresses the nutritional needs of young children in family child care through education, program oversight, and financial reimbursement for participating child care professionals in order to ensure that nutritious meals and snacks are provided.  Family Child Care programs are eligible to be part of the Food Program when they are regulated as a Certified or Licensed Provider, and have at least one enrolled full- or part-time child. For questions about the Food Program please call 414-562-2652

CACFP Week is a national education and information campaign sponsored annually the third week of March by the National CACFP Sponsors Association. The campaign is designed to raise awareness of how the USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program works to combat hunger. The CACFP brings healthy foods to tables across the country for children in child care centers, homes, and after-school programs as well as adults in day care.
